Women's conference, Missionaries in the office...

The sister missionaries joined ward member sisters for the General Women's Conference. This was another wonderful conference filled with inspiration. Some of my (Sister Martin) two favorite thoughts that were expressed are:

Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson (Young Women General President) said “During this 20th anniversary year of the family proclamation, I would like to issue a challenge for all of us as woman of the Church to be defenders of “The Family: A Proclamation to the World.”

Sister  Cheryl A. Espin (2nd Counselor Primary General Presidency) told the example of two soda cans. In one hand a can was empty and in the other it was full of soda. When the empty can was squeezed; it  began to collapse under the pressure. However the full can under the same pressure, held  firm. She likened this to when we fill our lives with the Spirit and with the gospel of Jesus Crist, we will have the power to withstand outside forces of the world.
It was fun to mingle with our dear sisters after the conference.

Great turnout for a stake function held in the Barrigada ward building
Light refreshments were served following the meeting.

Sister Talakai saw the group photo and jumped in

Fun ocean/sea theme for the food provided

The sandwiches look like crabs

Is that a dolphin or a banana?

Sunday evening is another time to connect with the Zone Leaders and Sister Trainer Leaders. We go over many details like finances and flights.

We went to dinner at Pho cafe with some of the missionaries.

Elder Mott said he usually doesn't eat lettuce

Elder Hunter, back left, just left for home

Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Pork chop, Fried Chicken, Lumpia

Sister Martin, Elder Fabiano, Elder Murdoch
We had a great time with these awesome missionaries. They do a great work with amazing endurance.

Jesus Christ Lives. He was resurrected. There is a living Prophet and Apostles on the earth today who testify of this fact as mentioned in Acts1.22-26. We are so blessed to hear from inspired leaders who are ordained and testify of the resurrected Christ and this great work of salvation.
