Public Affairs Pictures and Chennai

We planned to take a bunch of pictures for Public Affairs brochures, calendars and other Church publications. In March 2020 we flew on a full flight to Chennai to take pictures of members. Shortly after we arrived in Chennai, we found out that Churches would be closed Sunday due to the Corona Virus. With the help of our driver, Brother Joshua and President Sudhakar we were able to take some pictures of members in their homes. On our flight back to Bengaluru, the flight was nearly empty.
Sunday, we had a private sacrament meeting in our hotel room. We felt the spirit just as much as if we were inside one of our chapels.

We met Elder and Sister Gibson and went to a garden called, Semmozhi Poonga.

We then saw some interesting sites where St. Thomas was reported martyred while in India.

Saw this nice stain glass of Peter holding the keys.

How about some more great street food? Althaf Food Court, grilled chicken

Went over to see the Chennai Church building.

We met Sister Babu (returned missionary) and went with her to some areas south of Chennai.

We saw hundreds of crocodiles and some alligators at the Madras Crocodile Bank on the coast.

Mahabalipuram - An ancient site with large stone rocks sculptured in the 7th-8th century.

A big rock looked like it needed help to not roll down the hill. Do you think we're making a difference?

It was a bright hot day.

We enjoyed meeting the Sundarrajan family for some Public Affairs pictures. They served us an Indian sweet milk treat. It was so wonderful being in their home, we wished we could come back.

Brother Joshua was our driver in Chennai. His family drove with us part of the time. We found out that Brother Joshua's wife was the sister of our good friend Jerry Louis in Bangalore.

We setup a Sunday School Class for pictures in a possible brochure

During the month of March we took many more pictures for public affairs future use.
