Feb. - More farewells, apartment inspections, wedding,

Several of us in the office said goodbye to a few great missionaries who served 2 years. Elder Johnson, Elder Baker and Elder Mckamey.

Apartment Inspections and some boxing? Elder Karra, Elder Gantner, Elder Thygerson, Elder Mungamuri.

Elder Van Valkenburg and Elder Johnson still have their Christmas tree up.

Elder Saripalli, Elder Chavala, Elder Rajendrn and Elder Williams

The set up of electrical always worries and amazes me how it works. That's 220 V.

Elder Edwards and Elder Singh apartment.

Now off to KGF (Kolar Gold Fields)  for a final apartment inspection and church meeting.

The drive to KGF is about 2 hours from Bengaluru. That's an interesting way to transport steel wool.

The Elder Yogesh and Elder Williams arranged for us to visit with a wonderful family after church and inspecting their apartment. We sang some primary songs with them and had a great time.

After that we all visited Elder Joseph and his family. He recently finished his mission and is home now.

Of course they had some curry chicken waiting when we arrived.

They live in a colorful, nice little neighborhood.

Took a walk around the grounds at our apartment. Many beautiful flowers are blooming right now.

Thanush, the youngest in our missionary prep class, received his mission call and getting ready to leave. This young man is already a great missionary, sharing the message of the glorious restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with friends and neighbors. One young man he shared his testimony with, who was also in our missionary prep class, is currently serving in our mission.

Had a Public Affairs meeting with President Samson and Cold Stone Ice Cream in the mall afterwards.

Our friend Vasanth, who we used to work closely in the mission office with, dropped by the office and invited us to lunch. I asked him to sit at his old desk for a nostalgic picture.

After we joined him and the young Elders for some good food. (Mike Elder Pandian, Vansanth, Elder Karra, Elder Gantner, Elder Mungamuri, Terry)

Fun at BBQ Nation with our good friends. All you can eat. (Rachna, Aryan, Sunil, Mike, Terry)

Sister Martin made this wonderful Chicken Pot Pie with homemade crust, baked in our little oven. Soooh good!

Did an inventory on some Telugu and Tamil language, pamphlets. Helping Sister Willnauer do her first order.

These pamphlets give the basics on: The Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ, The Plan of Salvation, Tithes and offerings, Chastity, Word of Wisdom and The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Enjoyed a great Valentines dinner with Elder and Sister Willnauer.

Found some nice Tumeric root at the store and decided to make lunch with it.

Added with some olive oil, leftover rice, mustard seed and some cashews and it really tasted great. The only drawback was it sure stained my fingers yellow.

Wonderful baptisms in Whitefield Ward in February. There were 381 baptisms in our mission during 2019.

Happy anniversary. Sister Martin made this amazing German Chocolate Cake with fresh coconut to help us celebrate.

Enjoyed a wedding and reception with a beautiful couple in our ward. They had so many real, fresh flowers. So beautiful.

Saying goodbye to Sister Ravulapudi. We will miss her so much, as with so many other faithful missionaries who sacrifice so much to share what they believe in the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We invited the Isaac family over to our apartment for some of my Thai Curry Chicken dinner and Pad Thai Shrimp.

We were invited to out blind friend's music recital. He has an amazing talent and practices many hours to improve his skills.

After he played the piano he offered to do an impromptu vocal performance. He asked another student to join him for a duet of a popular love song in India. She also had never rehearsed this duet.

Perhaps I mentioned this before but he has a 2 1/2 hour commute (each way) to church every Sunday, 2 buses and a train. He also is asked to play some piano prelude before church sometimes. He just plays what he hears and expounds upon it. He recently was asked to accompany some children that sang, Gethsemane. He had never practiced with them and just played along with them as they sang, matching notes and adding chords based on what he heard them sing. I just created a new micro SD card for his mp3 player with all of the hymns and children song book, downloaded from churchofjesuschrist.org so he can listen learn and them play as needed.
